DEKRA Vietnam to Speak at the 3rd EV Engineering & Mass Production Summit 2026 in Hanoi

Nov 26 – 27, 2026Hanoi

DEKRA Testing & Certification Vietnam is pleased to announce that Meyseng Se Tchao, Managing Director of DEKRA Vietnam, will be a featured speaker at the 3rd EV Engineering & Mass Production Summit 2026, in Hanoi the 26th of November.

As the electric vehicle industry expands, battery compliance is becoming broader and more complex. Safety remains the foundation, but manufacturers and suppliers must now address an interconnected set of testing, type-approval, sustainability, traceability and lifecycle requirements to enter and remain in global markets.
In her presentation, “From Battery Safety to Global Market Access: Navigating Testing and Compliance Requirements,” Meyseng Se Tchao will provide a practical, business-focused overview of how battery compliance is evolving. The session will connect the European Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 with the wider testing and regulatory landscape affecting electric-vehicle batteries.
The presentation will explain why compliance can no longer be treated as a one-time approval activity. As battery systems become more powerful and integrated, validation is moving beyond component-level testing toward system-level behaviour, realistic operating conditions and evidence that remains relevant throughout the battery lifecycle.
During the session, participants will gain insights into:
• How battery safety, performance and durability support EV acceptance and market access
• Why testing is evolving to reflect larger battery systems, fast charging, ageing, extreme climates and system-level interactions
• How market requirements differ, including vehicle and battery safety frameworks such as UN R100, China’s GB requirements and U.S. vehicle-safety requirements
• How the EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 adds requirements for carbon footprint, recycled content, supply-chain due diligence, labelling, battery passport, state of health and circularity
• Why one test package may not be sufficient for different markets or applications, and how an early gap analysis can help reuse evidence efficiently
• How manufacturers can manage compliance evidence from initial market entry through operation, modification, repurposing and end of life
For manufacturers, battery producers and exporters in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, these developments create both challenges and opportunities. Organizations that integrate regulatory planning, testing and evidence management early in product development can reduce duplication, identify market-specific gaps and strengthen their route to global market access.
With more than two decades of international experience in the automotive, mobility and industrial sectors, Meyseng Se Tchao brings a strategic perspective on regulatory developments, emerging industry trends and business transformation. Her session will translate a complex compliance landscape into practical considerations for decision-makers and industry stakeholders.
DEKRA supports manufacturers and suppliers by connecting testing, regulatory interpretation, certification and evidence preparation. This integrated approach helps organizations demonstrate credible market access and maintain compliance as products, regulations and battery applications evolve.
We look forward to contributing to the discussions and meeting industry stakeholders at the 3rd EV Engineering & Mass Production Summit 2026 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
